Hot on the heels of the great success of our Award-Winning ICID Plus Double Wall Adjustable Starter Section, we’ve introduced the ICS version of the product, which is an easy and quick way of disconnecting a stove for inspection.

The Starter Section is available in two effective lengths: 1025mm and 600mm and is exceptionally easy to install and remove for servicing. The process for the ICS version matches the ICID version. Simply inserting a male spigot of the liner into the appliance spigot, sealing it, insulating it and then sliding down the case to cover the stove spigot. Removal for servicing and re-installation is just the reverse.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Bungalow Firestop Kits”][vc_column_text]ICS Twin Wall Insulated Chimney System Installation

A ventilated fire stop plate is not required for single storey bungalows with a ventilated loft space. Schiedel has developed a solid fire stop kit that can be fitted even more unobtrusively in the ceiling.

The fire stops can be used with Eco ICID and ICS twin wall flues and are available in three options:

one piece round, two piece round and one piece square.[/vc_column_text][mk_image src=”https://www.schiedel.com/uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2016/04/Bungalow_firestop_kit.jpg” image_size=”full”][vc_column_text]These unventilated fire stop plates may only be used on a combustible ceiling in a bungalow where there is a minimum 60mm distance to combustibles where the chimney penetrates the ceiling area and where the roof space above the ceiling is open and ventilated. Within the roof space, a protective wire mesh framework must be built around the chimney to ensure the minimum 60mm distance to combustibles is maintained.[/vc_column_text][mk_image src=”https://www.schiedel.com/uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2016/04/Bungalow_firestop_kit_2.jpg” image_size=”full”][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Magnetic Firestop Cover Plate Kit”][vc_column_text]ICS Twin Wall Insulated Chimney System Installation

This new addition to the ventilated firestop range has been introduced an aesthetic cover plate kit, which fastens to the standard ventilated firestops using the magnets which are provided in the kit along with the cover plates. Kits are available in plain finish, painted matt black to RAL 9005, or painted matt white to RAL 9016 to match the firestops.[/vc_column_text][mk_image src=”https://www.schiedel.com/uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2016/04/magnetic_firestop_cover_plate_kit.jpg” image_size=”full”][vc_column_text]Magnetic firestop cover plate kits for use exclusively in combination with stove starter pipes and ventilated firestop plates.[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Load Bearing Roof Support”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]ICS Twin Wall Insulated Chimney System Installation

The roof support is supplied as a kit complete with two side plates for fixing to the roof trusses, a band to give lateral support to the chimney as it passes through the roof, and 3 self tapping screws, which are secured to the chimney through the band to give a load bearing capacity. When the plates are installed above the roof trusses as in Fig.1 the maximum number of pipes, which may be suspended from the roof support is 6 x 1m pipes. When the plates are attached below the trusses as in Fig.2 the maximum number of pipes, which may be suspended is 4 x 1m pipes.

- The band should be lowered down over the top of the Eco ICID pipe, and positioned so that the the side plates are resting on top of the roof trusses as in Fig.1 or below the roof trusses in the case of Fig. 2 .The recommended position is always as per Fig.1 where circumstances allow this solution.

- The band should then be tightened using the nut and bolt provided.

- Using the holes pre-drilled in the roof support band, drill 3mm holes in the outer case of the chimney section (drill bit should be set for a depth no greater than 10mm to avoid any damage to the liner of the chimney)

- Use the self tapping screws provided to secure the clamp band to the outer casing of the chimney section.

Please note: It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that the joist to which the roof support is being attached is load bearing and capable of withstanding the weight of the system being installed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][mk_padding_divider][mk_image src=”https://www.schiedel.com/uk/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2016/04/load_bearing_roof_support.jpg” image_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_accordion_tab][/vc_accordions][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][mk_divider style=”thin_solid” margin_top=”0″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row id=”fire-resistance”][vc_column][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”false” css=”.vc_custom_1606471311871{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]
Fire resistance classification

[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner is_fullwidth_content=”false” css=”.vc_custom_1605691789467{padding-bottom: 3% !important;background-color: #f8f8f8 !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”2/6″][mk_image src=”https://www.schiedel.com/bg/wp-content/uploads/sites/52/2020/11/ei-120-fire-resistance-pictogram.png” image_size=”full” align=”center” margin_bottom=”0″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”false” css=”.vc_custom_1605691691776{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Schiedel has recently successfully carried out fire resistance tests according to the latest European standard EN 1366-13:2019 “Fire resistance tests for service installations, Part 13: Chimneys” and has reached EI 120 classification for our Double Wall Insulated System Chimney ICS in a closed scenario (type A) for both vertical and horizontal set-ups.

Schiedel is the first European chimney manufacturer to have performed the tests according to this latest fire resistance standard for chimneys.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row id=”downloads”][vc_column][vc_column_text disable_pattern=”false”]
