Mentre le singole stufe vecchie e inefficienti e le fiamme libere contribuiscono notevolmente ad acuire il problema, le nuove tecnologie e l’utilizzo di reti di teleriscaldamento possono ora offrire ai consumatori UE opzioni pulite ed efficienti, conformi ai requisiti dell’era energetica pulita.
Potremmo ridurre radicalmente le emissioni se i consumatori sostituissero i vecchi apparecchi e utilizzassero solo legna essiccata di altissima qualità.

Assicuratevi di ottenere legna da ardere proveniente da boschi regionali con silvicoltura sostenibile. In tal modo vi impegnate personalmente alla salvaguardia dell’ambiente e date il buon esempio di sostenibilità.
La legna da ardere ottimale viene essiccata per un anno e presenta un’umidità del 15–20%.
Dato che la legna da ardere umida/fresca è molto più pesante rispetto a quella perfettamente stagionata, si ottiene meno legno a parità di denaro.
