Together with our customers from various sectors, we develop customized modular flue gas exhaust systems and sound pressure reduction systems (resonance and absorption silencers). We are part of the Austrian Schiedel Concern and make a substantial contribution to group sales. The activities of our facility in Middelburg are production, engineering and installation of the above mentioned systems. We also take care of an important part of the supply chain process worldwide.

As Engineer you will contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives. You will do this by realizing (executing, supervising, and guiding) multiple complex projects or requests for them. Independently providing advice to internal and external clients on technical specifications of client-specific installations and building services within current and new projects. This involves a wide range of technical challenges in various industrial sectors (Maritime, Industrial Heating, Power Generation, Data Centres, Food). We operate worldwide.

For our department Engineering we are looking for a full-time Engineer. This division includes full-service engineering work on behalf of turnkey projects in the field of flue gas exhaust systems. Schiedel is responsible for the quotation, engineering, delivery and installation supervision of these projects. The location is Middelburg.

What we expect:

• You have a completed technical HBO/WO education.Technical MBO graduates with demonstrable experience at HBO level are also invited to apply;
• You have sales skills from a technical point of view;
• You are customer-oriented and have good communication skills;
• You have a good command of the English language (Dutch and German are an advantage);
• You take initiative, have a great sense of responsibility, are a team player, can work independently and have a hands-on mentality;
• You have knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD drawing packages (such as Autodesk Inventor or equivalent);
• You are proficient with Office packages.

What does a typical day look like:

• You set your priorities in the morning based on incoming email and your schedule;
• You consult with your colleagues and supervisor whether there are urgent tasks for other projects or the Technical Helpdesk that need to be transferred;
• Then you make a quotation for a project including installation supervision in New Zealand;
• You will check a shipment before it leaves for South America;
• In the afternoon you have a consultation with the work preparation department about a design for a customer in the Netherlands.
