Access data/server log files

The website provider (or its web hosting provider) collects data every time the website is accessed (known as server log files). The access data includes:

The name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, volume of data transmitted, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited website), IP address and the querying provider.

The provider uses the log data for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and the optimisation of the website only. The provider reserves the right to check the log data after the fact if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use based on concrete evidence.

Handling personal details

Personal details are information that can be used to identify a person, i.e. the information that can be traced back to a person. These include the name, email address or telephone number. However, personal details also include data about likes, hobbies, memberships or which pages someone has viewed.

Personal details are only collected, used and passed on by the provider where this is legally permissible and the user consents to the data collection.

Contact

Upon making contact with the provider (for example via contact form or email), the user’s information is saved for the purpose of processing the query, as well as in the event that subsequent questions arise.

Newsletter

We use our newsletter to inform you about us and our services.

If you wish to receive the newsletter, we require a valid email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address specified or its owner consents to the receipt of the newsletter. No additional data is collected. This data is only used to send the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.

When you sign up for the newsletter, we save your IP address and the date of signup. Saving this data purely serves as evidence in the event that a third party misuses an email address and signs the user up to receive newsletters without their knowledge.

You can revoke your consent to saving the details, email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time. You can revoke it via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile area or by informing us via the above contact options.

By using cookies, the provider is improving the convenience and quality of its services, by for example saving user settings. Cookies do not do any damage to the user’s computer and do not contain any viruses.

It is also possible to use the website without cookies. Users can deactivate the storage of cookies in their browser, restrict it to certain websites or set up your browser settings in such a way that they are informed before a cookie is saved. Users can delete the cookies from your computer’s hard drive at any time via their browser’s data privacy function. In this case, the functions and user-friendliness of the website may be restricted.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (‘Google’). Google Analytics uses ‘cookies’ – text files that are saved to users’ computers and which allow their usage of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about users’ use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

When activating IP anonymisation on this website, Google will first abbreviate the user’s IP address within the EU member states and other contract states to the European Economic Area treaty. The full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there in exceptional cases only. IP anonymisation is active on this website. Google will use this information on behalf of the website operator to analyse how users use the website, prepare a website activities report and to provide other services related to the website and Internet use to the website operator.

The IP address transmitted by your browser through Google Analytics is not associated with other Google data. Users can reject the storage of cookies on your computer by changing the settings of your browser accordingly. However, users must note that not all functions on this website may be fully available if they reject cookies. Users can also prevent the collection of data related to their website use generated by the cookie (incl. IP address) and their transmission to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin under the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
