Challenge
This project involved the removal and complete dismantling of an old, freestanding chimney that had severely deteriorated and was heavily corroded over time. Years of wear and high humidity had taken their toll on the old system. Due to high humidity, the new chimney had to offer greater resistance to condensation, so we also designed and installed a horizontal discharge point. The new modular system also required anchoring to a support truss.
Solution
Schiedel supplied and installed both the ICS dn 500 chimney system with 25 mm ceramic fiber insulation and the vertical support truss, sized and calculated in synergy with our technicians. The installation was carried out with one of our specialized installation teams, which also had to make a concrete plinth on site to remedy an unforeseen situation at the construction site. The prompt reaction of our installation team and an additional on-site visit by our technical department solved the problem to the customer's full satisfaction.
