Schiedel were tasked to install 4 x 100mm diameter, Prima Plus single wall stainless steel flues from the outlets of 4 x Hamworthy Purewell Variheat, which are gas fired and are widely regarded as high efficiency and reliable boilers.

Prima Plus is a 316L stainless steel single wall flue system, with a thickness of 0.6mm. It’s designed to be used on gas and oil burning stoves and boilers with continuous operating temperatures up to 450°C and short firing up to 600°C. Additionally, when you add a special gasket to the joint, Prima Plus can then be installed for fluing condensing gas and oil appliances with positive pressures up to 200Pa, continuous operating temperatures up to 160°C and short firing up to 200°C.

Each flue had to rise vertically then turn 45° and connect into a 250mm diameter common header.

It was one of many commercial projects undertaken in an efficient manner by the Schiedel team, working closely with Spie Matthew Hall to complete the task.
