{"id":10631,"date":"2018-02-13T12:27:17","date_gmt":"2018-02-13T11:27:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.schiedel.com\/ie\/?p=10631"},"modified":"2022-06-01T12:01:12","modified_gmt":"2022-06-01T10:01:12","slug":"flue-system-at-newcastle-civic-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.schiedel.com\/ie\/flue-system-at-newcastle-civic-centre\/","title":{"rendered":"Flue System at Newcastle Civic Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Flue System at Newcastle Civic Centre<\/h1>\n<p><strong>Schiedel installed a temporary flue system to keep the Civic Centre heated up during the Winter months, as part of an ongoing project.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The existing, ageing brick flue was removed, while the Schiedel Chimney System was installed to replace it.<\/p>\n<p>The system installed was ICS, which is\u00a0a twin wall flue manufactured with a stainless steel liner and stainless steel case. It is insulated with a 25mm thick high-density (128kg\/m\u00b3) superwool blanket.<\/p>\n<p>ICS features include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuous Firing Temp:- 450\u00b0 C Short Firing Temp:- 550\u00b0 C<\/li>\n<li>Pressure Capabilities:- 40Pa Fire Rating:- 4hrs to BS476 Part 20<\/li>\n<li>Thermal Shock:- 1000\u00b0C Ave. Thermal Resistance (200\u00b0C):- 0.508m\u00b2 K\/w<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Schiedel arranged the delivery, offloading and erection of the boiler flue system. There were 3 x\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.babcock-wanson.co.uk\/\">Babcock Wanson<\/a> boilers at different kW power output ranges. The \u00d8250mm flues connected from the flange adaptor, to turn through 90\u00b0and rise vertically to enter 87\u00b0 bends.
