{"id":9939,"date":"2017-09-06T11:10:46","date_gmt":"2017-09-06T09:10:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.schiedel.com\/ie\/?p=9939\/"},"modified":"2022-06-01T12:01:15","modified_gmt":"2022-06-01T10:01:15","slug":"health-safety-milestone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.schiedel.com\/ie\/health-safety-milestone\/","title":{"rendered":"Health &amp; Safety Milestone"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Health &amp; Safety Milestone<\/h1>\n<p><strong>We&#8217;re delighted to have reached a significant Health &amp; Safety milestone in the Schiedel Washington plant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have crossed over the 3000 day line without a lost time accident, which is a fantastic achievement.<\/p>\n<p>The last time there was an accident:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gordon Brown was British Prime Minister<\/li>\n<li>Manchester United had just lost 2-0 to FC Barcelona in the European Cup Final<\/li>\n<li>Disney&#8217;s &#8220;Up&#8221; was released.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft had just released Windows 7.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Boom Boom Pow&#8221; by The Black Eyed Peas was top of the charts.<\/li>\n<li>The Nokia 5230 was the top selling phone at 159 million (iPhone 3GS was second with 35 million sold).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The employees&#8217; participation in the Safety Observation Awareness Program (SOAP) process over the years has been a major contributory factor in this result, along with all the hard work on the risk assessments and SOP&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>Schiedel have a very positive Health &amp; Safety culture in the business, which can clearly be seen everyday when the work force conduct themselves, which was recognised recently, when the plant was awarded World Class status<\/p>\n<p><strong>The World Class Awards are Braas Monier\u2019s way of rewarding innovation and efficiency\u00a0within all the Braas Monier plants throughout the world.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once again, it shows the consistent quality Schiedel have shown, from their dedicated employees, reliable products and positive Health &amp; Safety culture.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Health &amp; Safety Milestone We&#8217;re delighted to have reached a significant Health &amp; Safety milestone in the Schiedel Washington plant.
