Emergency power generator exhausts for datacenter in Sydney
- Non-Residential
- Carried out in Australia in 2026
- Product(s) used: AD
- Datacenter
The project involved a major datacenter facility in Sydney, Australia, requiring specialized exhaust systems for its emergency power diesel generators.
Schiedel’s engineering team was tasked with designing thirty-two individual flues. Each flue featured a 600mm nominal internal diameter and a high-gloss stainless steel finish, specifically designed to run vertically along the building’s exterior.
Challenge
The primary challenge lay in balancing technical performance with strict architectural requirements.
The flues had to align perfectly with the building's facade while managing the high-pressure output of standby generators. Additionally, the logistics were complex; all components had to be manufactured and then transported from our factory to the port of Rotterdam for long-distance overseas shipping.
Solution
Schiedel utilized the AD product line to engineer a solution that met every architectural and technical specification.
After manufacturing, we managed the entire logistics chain to ensure the safe arrival of the components in Sydney. Parratech then completed the installation with outstanding craftsmanship, resulting in a flawless, high-performance exhaust system for the facility’s power backup.
